What are You Coming Home To?
There’s nothing quite like walking into a room that’s been closed up for weeks at a time. Every time you go up to your cabin, for example, you’re bombarded with smells that have lingered from the last time you were there, in addition to it being hotter than an over.
Sure, closing the window blinds is one way to keep things cool and dark, but that’s not quite enough, is it? What you might want to do is try to have someone go out to your cabin every few weeks during the months you’re not there, or maybe create a timeshare situation so that you can have other people air it out when you’re not able to use it.
Other people like to send a professional cleaning service out to the cabin to help keep things in order. It’s sort of like having a hotel maid service, isn’t it?
It can also help for you to clean up the cabin and air it out before you leave so that you’re not coming back to a stuffy and dusty home. Of course, there will always be some mustiness when you arrive back again, but at least you’ll have done something to keep away the smell of the last meal you cooked.
