Lighting Up a Home with Tap Lamps

The Tap Lamp Company is a name that brings to mind the unique and the stylish.

Master Craftsman Gareth Donnelly has created something truly wonderful with his new designs for an old household item: the lamp.

Oftentimes the bane of a decorator’s overall scheme, the table lamp has been in households for many years and still finds itself a necessity.

Unfortunately, it may be hard or near impossible to find that perfect table top lamp to go with the decoration and even if you do manage to find the fit to your room, the lamp is probably devoid of character and charm.

For those brave in nature and with a liking for something stranger then the normal lighted affairs, the Tap Lamp Company is the perfect fit.

Gareth Donnelly’s designs take the old and the new, and combine them to create a lamp that is unlike anything this side of history.

With an antiqued touch and stylish lights, the Tap Lamps are unlike anything you have ever seen before. Each Tap lamp is handcrafted and feature recycled and new materials.

The table lamp “Old Faithful” is a perfect example of Donnelly’s use of materials. The red pipe stand joins a drive sprocket from a harvester which was once plowing fields and threshing wheat.

The base for the “Bridey”, a lovely cream colored lamp designed with left-handers in mind, is from a newspaper printing press that is about 65 years old.

These tap lamps come in a variety of colors and designs for tables and the wall.

With an industrial feel and a touch of vintage eloquence, these lamps are sure to find a home within your home. Images courtesy of: taplamp.com. More about lamps
