When it comes to a room, the hardest item to decorate is also the most necessary to the whole of the house: the walls. Some knock down walls, others shove furniture in front of them or hang gaudy pictures to mask their presence.
Walls, however, can be used to display some of the most fascinating and unique décor available today.
The utilitarian purposes of walls are well understood. Walls hold up the ceiling which in turn protects us from the elements.
Just because walls are a necessary part of any room does not mean that they should be treated as a nuisance.
Many understand the importance of colors and the many uses they have. Deviating from the normal white wall is no longer seen as daring or innovative but as required in order to have a modern and trendy home. Walls, however, can be used in other ways….

Walls can be terrific canvases with a wide variety of options for those creative enough to take advantage.
Art is no longer resigned to sit in bulky frames. The wall itself can be art and thus the focal point for the entire room.
There are plenty of companies offering wall art and décor that not only look snazzy but offer function and use.
For those desiring something truly new and creative; pop art wall tiles are available.
These tiles come in an array of textures, shapes and designs some of which resemble whimsical toy blocks.
The tiles come in vivid colors and can be used as accents or to create interesting patterns.
Lighting can also be affixed to walls thus saving space and creating specific moods for the room.
LED lighting is very popular and can be used in numerous ways.
LED light bars can come in every color of the rainbow and beyond and are used to create just the right ambiance whether it’s the bedroom or the living room.
LEDs are not harsh like fluorescent lights and lack that annoying whine.
Murals Wall Decor
Murals can also be used to illustrate any wall. Murals are not just for those downtown buildings near the historic district anymore.

Anything can be painted on those blank walls whether it’s a summer’s day at the pond or clever designs that offer a glimpse into a room that is simply not there.
With the many options out there for decorators and consumers it is simply a wonder that there are walls that still resemble barren wastelands.
Walls are no longer necessary evils but are viable parts of the design process.
So when the time to redecorate comes again, pay careful consideration and care to the walls.

If you’ve ever walked into the home of someone who collects things, the first thing you notice is how ‘busy’ it looks.
There are so many things to look at, so many things to take in that you can feel overwhelmed by even the most beautiful collection of Imari porcelain. Instead of creating an overwhelming look, here are some ways to display your collectables in a kinder, gentler way.
Try adding a few shelves to your walls. With easy to hang single shelves, you can create designs in the arrangement of these shelves on the wall without being too overbearing in the design.
Try shelves that are shaped like boxes as well as corner shelves and regular straight shelves.

The only concern is that you shouldn’t put too many shelves on the way or you will begin to look cluttered.
Next, you might want to use a small display case that can only hold a few pieces at a time.
This will help reduce the clutter, but also allow you to show off your pieces. If you like, you can rotate the pieces that are in the case, as well as display new pieces as you buy them.
We have written a review on Imari pieces of porcelain, It’s a worth reading.
Laguna Wooden Bathtubs
The wooden bathtubs offered by Laguna are an example of refined elegance. Inspired by dark woods which invite and radiate a sense of warmth and serenity; these bathtubs are the pinnacle of luxury.
The Pearl Wooden Bathtub is freestanding and compact. Its deep color and breathtaking shine can add that needed flair to an existing bathroom. Its slope design makes it easy to stretch out and relax.
When finished with chrome faucets, the contrast of metal and wood is pleasantly impressive.

Laguna Spa provides a new and unique twist to bath time. Freestanding with an oval design like the Pearl bathtub, the Spa has an added feature. The entire rim is lined in pebbles that simulate a natural feel while having the privacy of residence.
Relaxing in the spa is an experience within itself. Watching the water softly brush over the pebbles and recede promotes the feeling of relaxation. The spa is also a dark wood design that draws the eyes and entices the mind.

The Laguna Basic offers the common rectangular design but with the elegance of a wooden bathtub. The sharp lines flow into a curved bowl that provides an eye-pleasing contrast. This tub is ideal for any type of bathroom and can enhance the decorum drastically.
The ability to line the edge with candles or have a glass of wine at the ready are just some advantages of the Basic over its sister, the Pearl Tub and Spa.

All the Laguna Wooden Tubs are breathtaking and provide an opulent style and creativity for any home. It will be a pleasure to take a long, hot bath in any of the models. Stress will simply drift away using the Laguna tubs.
