If there is any room in the home that needs to be functional as well as beautiful, it is the bathroom.  Obvious necessities include a sink, toilet and bath or shower.  Often times the space allowed for these items can be very small, giving the room a cramped and uncomfortable feel.

Residence Interior Design has created a beautiful space using fixtures finished in crisp chrome and porcelain alongside warm woods.

The white porcelain sink features a sleek faucet and handles that enhance the simplicity of the sink.  This same chrome finish can be found in the tub bars and the handheld shower fixture.

In fact, the unique shape of both the bars and the shower fixture act as artwork in the room.  The tub and shower combination also has an unusual “half door” that allows the area to be used for both baths and showers yet still gives the room an open feel.

The ultimate in luxury in any bath are heated towels and this bath provides that through the use of the wall hung towel bar next to the bathtub.

The overall serene feeling in this bathroom is created through the use of a monochromatic and neutral color scheme.  The light wood stain sits next to a very neutral wall tile which contrasts nicely with the white sink and tub.  Adding a vase of fresh white lilies brings some life to the room without disturbing the calm feel.
