Quartz Or No-Quartz Countertops

When should you consider quartz as a good option?

Quartz as countertop material is a good enough option as it offers a real wide choice in the branded variety of countertops on sale.

Our new kitchen remodeling project is almost done. The last thing that remains for us to choose is the countertops. Now, that seems to be the deciding factor. My family wants to go in for quartz countertops. They have seen the quartz countertops at the store and really liked it. I’m a bit skeptical about it for two reasons. One is the cost that I have checked and compared with the other countertops and the other is that I can pick one of the branded countertops which are really reassuring. My husband loves this option as it is resistant to all kinds of stains. This makes it nice to have around.

What is holding me back is the cost factor. Can you please suggest which way to go to get the best countertops, quartz or no quartz…

A: All good things come at a price to them and so is the case with a quartz. They are made with engineered stone and contain as much as 93% of quartz particles in them.

The good thing about the use of quartz is the myriad of colors that you can get them in. You are bound to find the right color choice that is agreeable by the entire family. The range of colors is so vast in quartz that it is more likely compared to any other kind of countertop material used.

You might hate to hear this, but your husband is right. Quartz is the stone that is resistant to all kinds of scratches on its surface.

This is because of the nonporous surface that one finds on the quartz. As a homeowner you will love to hear, that quartz is absolutely easy to maintain. No matter how roughly it is used by your family, you will not have to spend hours cleaning it. It is not only resistant to stains but acids too.

Therein, you needn’t worry about any spilling of orange juice on it. A quick wipe with a wet mop and it is done. The quartz is made for rough wear and tear. If you plan on using quartz for the countertop then you are certainly making a wise and judicious decision.

The only thing about the quartz is the expense that is involved. But, having said that, it is worth the money that you spend on it, for the long haul benefits that it gets you! We have noticed in our profession that it is one of the most popular and favored of materials for the use in countertops, unlike concrete, tile or granite for the numerous benefits that it fetches the user. They are easy to install and will be in working condition within no time. No fuss usage is what your family will get from it.
