Sunrooms Styles

Home

There are many types of sunrooms depending on the customer budget. A sunroom is an enclosed room which receives light and fresh air and makes a transition from an indoor environment to the outdoors. Sunrooms are added onto existing houses in order to increase owner's property value and resale appeal.

Most homeowners like to add new functionality to their homes, and therefore, improve their lifestyle. For that purpose, sunrooms are increasing their popularity in United States every year.

Sunrooms are arranged as year-round or three season models. Most customers choose year-round models, because they don't have to wait until warm temperatures to enjoy the great outdoors.

Currently, with the round year sunrooms we could be in the sunroom watching the flakes fall without getting cold. In order to obtain this wonderful feeling, double-pane thermal windows and a wood or thermally-broken aluminum frame for efficiency and to control condensation are needed. In order to reduce the overall heating bills, sunrooms can be used to capture solar heat in the winter.

Low prices begin for aluminum/acrylic kits. These lower-priced sunrooms are simplest design. They use an aluminum frame with double pane acrylic windows. Windows can be removed during summer time in order to create a screened porch. Three-season sunrooms typically have just single-pane windows and screens, therefore they are not suggested for the winter season.

Usually, there are four main model on the sunroom's market: Straight, curved, cathedral and conservatory. Straight are designed for simplicity and subtlety. They make the straight lines of a classic sunroom. Curved are thought to show graceful lines and elegant symmetry. Cathedral sunrooms are made to the use of light and space.

They often feature a front peaked wall that welcomes light and extends the outdoor views, while creating an airy, spacious feel within. The conservatory sunroom recreate the classical architectural design with maintenance free and energy efficient modern structures. Nowadays, it's up to the homeowner to select which is the most suitable sunroom plan amongst all sunrooms on the market.
