The designers have taken this same idea and turned it on its side to create an end walnut table with just the right height and depth to be placed next to a sofa or chair.  The top shelf provides enough space for a lamp as well as a spot to place a book or photo.  This style also has an open space that acts as a center shelf to display beautiful collectibles and the enclosed bottom shelf can house books or a stack of magazines very neatly.
